This panel discussion was held at CFIC's virtual Spring Conference on May 8, 2021. The participants were as follows.

Moderator John Varghese is a CFIC board member and chairs the Communications Committee. John's curious nature gradually raised his awareness to the awe and wonder a scientific temperament brings to each one of us and the possibility of rational, inclusive governance it brings to society.

Joshua Jeyakamur was born into a family of Protestant cross-cultural missionaries in India. After spending the first five years of his life among tribal communities in Northern India where his parents worked as missionaries, he spent the next 12 years as a boarder in a Christian mission school along with other children of cross cultural missionaries.

Muhammod is a blogger writing about science, daily life, religion, climate change and opposing extremism. He fled Bangladesh leaving behind a wife and children. Fearing for the safety of his family in Bangladesh, Muhammod does not appear on camera during the panel discussion and his voice is distorted.

Tala was born in the Middle East to a Greek Orthodox mother and a Catholic father. Her childhood consisted of school and church and she was very much a devout Christian up until the age of 26. Tala also does not appear on camera to protect her identity.

Allison Jensen comes from a long line of Mormon pioneer stock on both sides of her family, having ancestors that founded the Canadian Mormon hub of Cardston, Alberta and surrounding area. Like all good Mormon girls, she got married at 21 but unlike many of her peers at the time, she managed to make it to her 10th anniversary this May 7th.
