Notes: Lifeguards made over a thousand rescues in LA County over the weekend. A powerful hurricane moved through the region creating unusually warm water temperatures (76 degrees), high surf and dangerous rip currents. Lifeguards made rescues on Baywatch Boats, RWCs (jetskis) and by land. Lifeguards also handled several medical emergencies.
