The scariest part is that I consider myself to be more conservative. I mean Iโve never even worn a two piece bathing suit for god sakes. So doing something like this was really out of my realm. But once I did the first shoot with Michael, I was just totally comfortable with the whole thing. It made me feel not onlyโฆ I mean obviously you feel sexy while your doing it, you are something different. But a lot more confident in my own skin. That has kind of gone along with me since the shoot.
Iโve never been completely confident in my own skin. I come from a family that is a little bit larger and I was always a little bit more on the heavier side so I figured doing something like this would would build be confidence if anything. And after the shoot I actually went out and bought a two piece bathing suit and wore that to our honeymoon so it worked out for him.
I had a lot of hesitation with going with a male photographer, definitely. Especially with โWhat is my fiancรฉ going to think? What is he going to say?โ But once I met with Michael, like I said he was just so professional and assured me of the kind of work that he did, and I just felt completely comfortable. Once we started the first shoot I was so nervous I donโt know if you could tell but I was shaking. Once the first shoot was over, it was more than what I expected and I was like โLets do this!โ I was ready to get on the next outfit.
It just brought out a lot of confidence in me. I remember leaving there and thinking โWow, I could do this every single day!โ because it was just so much fun.
What I really loved during the shoot is that when I started with my negativity and saying โI donโt look good in thisโ Just being very negative with myself, what Michael did was โNo. No negativity. Be the sexy, confident woman that you are.โ
I handed him the album and he said โWhatโs this?โ With a big smile and his face and when he opened it, I just remember him putting his hand to his mouth, jaw dropped. He said โWow, These are great! Save those lingerie pieces for later on tonightโ I was like โIt worked!โ He really liked it. He was grinning.
