Zordrak, the Lord of Nightmares is the primary antagonist of the cartoon television series, The Dreamstone. He is the mortal enemy of the Dream Maker, hell-bent on destroying the titular Dreamstone to plague every slumber with nightmares, who rules the Land of Nightmares of the Sleeping World from the Black Mountain of Viltheed.
Zordrak is extremely powerful, with his roar alone causing landslides and earthquakes. He can cast all manners of spells, turn people into stone; hurl energy bolts, breathe purple, thunder-filled clouds over entire lands, among many other things. He only sleeps two weeks per year, a time of vacation for his troops. Also, he needs to frequently astral travel into space to recharge his powers. In this state, his soul manifest as a glowing-eyed purple spectre able to possess sleeping people, and his body turns to stone. He would crumble into dust should it last too long, a prospect that his servants quite enjoy.
