A book that many have read during High School, Lord of the Flies is a modern classic book that is full of deeper meaning than just the story. Golding wanted a desert island story in which he explored what would really happen if a group of boys were separated from civilization and had to fend for themselves.
The book Lord of the Flies is a story which asks us to make acute observations of our society; the meaning of society; and what it means to be human.
