Forged in the spirit of early 90s death metal, Lord Gryphus delivers a relentless assault of crushing riffs, savage drumming, and ritualistic atmosphere. Drawing influence from legends such as Morbid Angel, Sepultura, Grave, Autopsy, Incantation, Gorefest, and Sinister, the anonymous Texas trio channels the raw essence of classic underground death metal.
Lyrically rooted in ritual, sacrifice, ancestral reverence, and resistance against colonial oppression, Summoning the King of Death is both a sonic and ideological descent into darkness.
