See how LoRa modules can be used to trigger a camera speedlight from nearly a mile away — no Wi-Fi or cellular required! 📡💡 null-byte.wonderhowto.com/how-to/lora-range-test
LoRa (long-range) technology is commonly used for IoT applications, allowing low-power, long-distance communication without internet connectivity. But how far can it really go? In this episode of Null Byte, we put LoRa to the test using a camera speedlight to visually measure its range in an urban environment.
By integrating a LoRa module with a Bluetooth Nugget and a relay-controlled camera flash, we explore how LoRa performs in real-world conditions. This experiment is just one example of how far hackers can push LoRa's range when remotely controlling their own devices. We also discuss how tools like software-defined radios (SDRs) and the Flipper Zero can be used to verify LoRa transmissions.
🔥 What we cover in this video:
✔️ How LoRa technology works and its real-world applications
✔️ Setting up a LoRa transmitter and receiver using Bluetooth Nuggets
✔️ Using a relay module to trigger a speedlight
✔️ Testing LoRa range in an urban environment
✔️ Factors affecting LoRa signal strength and transmission distance

To graduate to the big leagues and learn more about networking, you need to learn how to write your own hacking scripts. Cybersecurity specialists, hackers, pentesters, and other IT professionals can write their own scripts in many different languages, from C to Python, but the most popular by far is Bash since its understood natively by all Unix systems, including Linux and macOS.
So when it comes to reconnaissance, or more specifically, automating recon so youre doing the same old thing time after time, Bash scripts are the way to go since it will have a higher degree of success.
On this episode of Cyber Weapons Lab, were going to show you how to write a Bash script from the group up, starting with a very basic Hello World script, then begin incorporating tasks such as automating Nmap scans and enumerating a local network.
