With European nations finally moving ahead with changing up their gambling laws so that lootboxes are correctly recognized as the paid for chance mechanics that they are.
We are finally going to a world without the things. At first, the reality might be that multiple countries are going to be like Belgium and the Netherlands, meaning banned by publishers from receiving certain game releases.
But as more countries get their head out of the ground, we'll get EU-wide coverage... which means game publishers can no longer just ignore countries and real, meaningful adjustments will be made.
No more gacha, no more lootboxes, no more gambling.
