Gritty, Intricate, at times wayward. This morning's configuration brought something that felt pure, but ragged around the edges.
I've had fun exploring processing lofi sounds through time based effects. The cinematic, bursting chaotic ambience of the Sequence Mode C in the Hologram Microcosm. By pairing those two effects, even sounds that are pitch shifted higher are sufficiently dark to fold in to beautiful layered ambience.
The Strymon Volante was a refreshing substitute for the Timeline this morning, a simple pair of hard-panned repeats on the tape mode at half speed give width and bounce to the larger swirling ambience.
The clean tone bases in the robust pair of the Jackson Audio Bloom v2 compressor and the Benson Preamp to set a high fidelity, beautiful guitar sound that ultimately terminates in the Universal Audio Dream '65 and Ruby in stereo.
A couple brief moments with the POG2 creating a synth-like voice, the Chase Bliss Mood offering frozen sets of notes, the Count to 5 and Habit making momentary appearances all as members of the ambient spice rack that I had the joy of exploring this morning.
