Sizing for Hats
For a Child Size Hat: Use a starting foundation of 28, plus 5
Adult Small 30, plus 5
Adult Medium 32, plus 5
Adult Large 34, plus 5
Adult Ex large 36, plus 5

There is little too no slack. Size up if you have to account for lots of hair or if you are on the cusp of the next size.
