This video is about the Colonel finally giving up on trying to find out what happened to Alaska. It hurt him, he is scarred, but he lets the past rest. There is nothing he - or anyone else - can change about it.

IMO, that Skins quote fitted Looking For Alaska too perfect not to use it. This book is fantastic. Absolutely heartbreaking (I've never cried so much while reading a book. Not just by one scene, but several ones. Just every single time that I was reminded of what happened). SOO just go buy this book. Even if it will depress you for a while, it will teach you something as well. And there is humor. And the combination of all of that is what makes the book fantastic. I already know for certain that I'm going to buy every single book John Green has ever written. Hell, I'll even buy the ones that aren't written yet (give me a TARDIS and I'll speak to you in just a minute).
And that's why I want to dedicate this to Kyley, Anouk and Annelot, because I know you've all read works from John Green and I just really hope you'll recognise the scenes I tried to create to stay true to the book :)
