This is probably the quickest I’ve ever done a map part lmao. Sketchy. 😳

About this OC: I’ve had Mapleheart (not shade) for about 3 years now. By her name and markings you can clearly see I was a big fan of Mapleshade when I came up with her design. Their stories are not at all similar tho. Mapleheart’s bloodline has been riddled with curses, when a freak accident happens that kills one of her sisters, her mom (Thistleberry) lashes out and scratches Maplekit over the eye, causing permanent damage. The certain curse that Thistleberry had at the time could be spread through wounds, one she realizes what she has passed to Maplekit, she is determined to get it out of her, no matter how many scratches it takes. Throughout her apprenticeship Maplepaw suffers multiple wounds, the ones kept on her design are her torso scar, ear nick, and the claw mark across her chest (which has a heart marking on it). This part focuses on the following:
0:04 - Fawnspring is shown tending to Maplepaw’s wounds, including her almost fatal, torso wound.
0:05 - Mapleheart and her remaining sister Smoketail get into a fight, resulting in her slashing her out of anger.
0:06 to 0:07 - Mapleheart’s kits Sparkkit and Meadowkit have died after the nursery collapsed on them. Mapleheart sits in the clearing crying over their dead bodies, everyone ignores her. (This was a huge part of her abuse from Thistleberry and the kits’ deaths. After her freak outs from the curse (which causes her to not only relive her trauma every night but also see dead people, such as her sisters.) everyone is afraid to be near her.
0:08 to 0:11- Mapleheart leaps out and kills Thistleberry. This is her first purposeful victim.
I do plan to do something that includes her entire story but I won’t spoil that for now.
Instead of wips I did a Timelapse of all the scenes, I thought it would be fun to show the characters and their actual colors.
