I CAN EXPLAIN-
Yesterday, at the mall my friends and I were in a Comic Store and I saw them (a really nice surprise! I had no idea Funko made these!). I thought about buying them but then decided if I really wanted them I’d buy them before I leave. Turns out I did, so after a lot of awkwardness, I gave my money to my friends (thanks guys 💗) and they bought the figures for me. Idk why, I feel weird buying anime merch in public. My incredible friends spared me a lot of overthinking and more anxiety then I already have so thank you to them.
Btw for anyone who collects pop figures religiously, I kept the packaging (I thought it was neat how it was molded to the character, it reminded me of ‘The Prestige’) and they will be stored in the packaging if I ever do anything creatively destructive in my room. I actually like these two, they’re my first pop figures, I spent my own money on them, I’d like to keep them in good condition (especially Aizawa’s scarf. It looks like it’s waiting to break). But for the most part they will be out displayed in my room, being cute 💗
I don’t even like pop figures all that much, some are kinda cute, but I find those bulging eyes ever so slightly unsettling (and I hate how milked the franchise is, you know the figures I’m talking about. Certain things shouldn’t be made into commercial product). This is coming from the person who can watch incredibly twisted true crime in the middle of the night and sleep like it’s nothing. Learning about massacres, fine. Eyes on an inanimate object, unsettling. The nice thing about these two is Hizashi has glasses and Shota has eyelids. So that’s great.
(I’m sorry for posting stuff like this. I’ve mentioned before how I feel weird about making videos about things I’ve purchased. Please don’t think I’m trying to brag. I’m just very excited. It was a really nice day too! I missed spending time with my friends. Remember to wear your masks!)
