The Longsnout Seahorse (Hippocampus reidi) is also known as the Slender Seahorse and can grow up to 18cm in length. Seahorses are a bony fish but they do not have scales. Their skin is thin and is stretched over several bony plates that are arranged in rings throughout their body.
