This is a longplay of the game Crash Bandicoot, an action-platformer developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, released in 1996 for the PlayStation.
The games story takes place on distant islands off the southeast coast of Australia, where the evil scientists Dr. Neo Cortex and his assistant Dr. Nitrus Brio are developing a genetic accelerator called the Evolvo-Ray to transform the islands inhabitants into beasts with superhuman strength, and they choose a bandicoot named Crash to be the general of their army of animal soldiers. However, Cortex decides to conduct an initial test on a not-yet-fully-functional Cortex Vortex, the machine that houses the Evolvo-Ray, despite his assistant warning that the Vortex is not ready. Cortex tests Crash on the machine, but the experiment fails and the Vortex rejects him; Crash seizes the moment to escape through a window and ends up falling into the open sea. Cortex keeps Tawna, another bandicoot, as his next test subject.
The player controls Crash, a genetically enhanced bandicoot created by the mad scientist Dr. Neo Cortex. The story follows Crash as he attempts to thwart Cortexs plans to take over the world and rescue his girlfriend Tawna, a female bandicoot also created by Cortex.
In the game, we control Crash, who must progress through levels facing animals and breaking boxes to obtain apples and extra lives, as well as having the help of an ancient wizard spirit called Aku Aku, who has scattered masks of himself across the islands to grant Crash special powers.
In addition to common items, Crash also needs to collect gems and keys, either by breaking all the boxes in certain levels (often requiring revisiting them) and also in bonus stages, which are essential to obtain a percentage. Crash defeats his enemies by jumping on them or using his spin attack.
The game unfolds from a third-person perspective where the camera follows behind Crash, although some levels feature forward scrolling and side-scrolling perspectives. This is the longplay of Musya, an action and platform game developed by Jorudan and released exclusively for the Super Nintendo, published by Datam Polystar in Japan by SETA USA in the United States, launching in 1992 in the two territories mentioned.
Musya follows a pikeman (described as a spearman in the Japanese version) named Imoto (Jinrai (神雷) in the Japanese version), who must descend into the abyss to face demons and save a girl named Shizuka. After Imoto survives a battle in which all the other combatants die, he travels to the village of Tengumura, where he ends up fainting. The mayor, Akagi (who is unnamed in the Japanese version), greets Imoto and says that Shizuka (しずか) needs to be rescued. Imoto heads to Tengumura Cave (known in the Japanese version as Kihōshōnyūdō (鬼宝鍾乳洞) to go after saving Shizuka.
The game is an action platformer, where the hero uses his spear to attack, whether with physical attacks or ranged attacks, as well as spells that he learns as he passes the levels. The games story is as follows: after Cortexs Vortex ship is destroyed, a piece of it falls onto a cave and releases an evil mask called Uka Uka, brother of Crashs mask, Aku Aku. Cortex, who wasnt defeated in the previous game, discovers the mask and joins forces with it to get revenge on Crash. But Uka Uka doesnt fully trust Cortex, so he calls on a new friend – Crashs enemy – called Nefarious Tropy. Crash and Coco must then race against time and collect the 25 crystals before their enemies and thwart the evil plans of Uka Uka, Cortex, and their friends. They must travel through portals across various historical eras and iconic locations such as the Great Wall of China, Medieval Empires, the Future, the Desert, the Dinosaur Era, and others.
In the game, we control Crash Bandicoot, who needs to collect boxes, gems, crystals, and relics (these are the most difficult to obtain) and must access and complete the levels in different ways to get the treasures: to obtain the gems, it is necessary to break the boxes; the crystals are in specific locations in the levels; and the relics are obtained through Time Trial, where it is necessary to complete the levels in the shortest possible time to obtain the relic, which can be sapphire (easy), gold (medium difficulty), or platinum (almost impossible to obtain). The plot takes place in 2029, when Emperor Garuda took control of the United States of America, building a fortress in the middle of New York. The story of this game takes place in the year 2030, with an army of cyborgs called Metal Command that aimed to dominate the world. A policeman named Steve Hermann lost his arms in a violent confrontation with these cyborgs, so the police implanted in Hermann two cyber arms, which in addition to returning mobility to our heroes are also extremely powerful and so was born Agent Shatterhand!
In this game we defeat enemies only with bare hands, with the aid of small robots that float around Shatterhand, collect coins to recover life between the phases and give us extra strength in the attacks. The story of the game takes place in the 20th century, when the nations of the world united against nuclear weapons and sought permanent world peace. With the promise of permanent world peace finally in hand, only a madman would still be capable of harboring an ambitious dream of world domination. Such a madman is the cunning dictator of Sovinia, a small rebel nation. The dictator then gathered an extremely powerful arsenal of nuclear weapons, so that he dominated the allied nations of Earth. Given all this, scientists estimate that, by 2008, most of the planets will be in ruins and, to make matters worse, alien forces have turned against Earth, setting out to conquer and colonize the planet. In the game we control a super-experienced fighter pilot, who is called upon to save the Earth using the Strike Gunner, a futuristic ship equipped with a double red laser gun that can be improved (until you die) several times, until it reaches its most powerful form, which is a blue laser. In addition to the primary weapon with infinite shots, it is also possible (and necessary) to use a secondary weapon, which has limited ammunition but can be reloaded. There are 15 secondary weapons, each with different effects. The game supports two players (Player 1 is Jane Sinclair, [red ship], and Player 2 is Mark McKenzie, [blue ship]), who in cooperative mode face the same single-player missions. If played with 2 players, the two ships can be combined into one to use different strategies. The graphics are simple, but very good for the time and the music does its job well.
