Happy 10 year anniversary to what is probably my favourite TV show of all time, Miraculous Ladybug!

Yep! September 1st 2015 was the first time Stormy Weather was shown to the world. This show really has managed to be dragging on for this long.

Sometimes I lowkey forget how long I have actually been following this show. I still always feel like I got to the party late, as that was what it seemed like when I first looked around the fandom, the OGs were the people who were there when the PV dropped.

I cannot give an exact date as to when I started watching this series, but it must have been sometime between late October to early December of 2016, as I remember all of season 1 having been released in English, but the Christmas Special hadn't come out yet. I was entranced right away, I just liked the concept of the show a lot, and I only fell more and more in love with it as it went on.

I still see people getting into Miraculous even now, so no, I kind of am a fandom elder here lmao. I've seen it (almost) all. I remember seeing Queen Bee and Rena Rouge getting leaked from some presentation, I remember "Gabriel is Hawkmoth" being a theory, I remember watching that first trailer for season 2 finally release after what felt like ages and making a post trying to analyze it on Amino.

When I got into Miraculous, Marinette was 13 years old, and I was also 13 years old. And now Marinette is 14, maybe 15 depending on how long the timeskip was? And I'm... not that anymore. But I am still watching this damn show. Still waiting for the identity reveal. I probably didn't expect to be watching this show for as long as I have, or for it to get this popular and go on as long as it has for that matter, but I still did.

So, yeah, it's been a huge part of my life for forever now. Everytime I've felt like I was finally losing interest Chat Noir grabbed me with his claws and something cool happened that dragged me back in, I am not leaving anymore. I am here until the end. This show makes its ridiculous release schedule worth following to me. The only other franchise I have been as consistently into is Pokemon. And while Miraculous hasn't been as big of an influence on my life as Pokemon, it is still very near and dear to my heart, and it has helped me through a lot of tough times. I own the real Ladybug Miraculous earrings they sell on the Zag store. I rarely take them out.

I know it's now popular to say this show is bad or just enjoy it ironically or whatever, but I don't think that at all, and I never understood why so many people do. I genuinely enjoy this show a lot exactly the way it is, and rewriting it in any way wouldn't have hit the same spot for me. I love the characters, I love their dynamics, I love the worldbuilding, I love the lore, I love the powersystem, and everything else about this show. I love the shipping. Obviously I love the shipping. Marinette slash Ladybug is one of my favourite fictional characters she's so awesome. She's miraculous if you will. I love the way episodes are written, and sometimes this show does do things I would've wanted to be different, but in the end I still love it all the same.

I love Miraculous Ladybug!! Here's to another 10 years!! 12 seasons of Ladybug!! I know you want them Thomas!!



A little about the AMV itself - this is the longest edit I have ever made. It's not as high effort as some of the long Pokemon AMVs I've made but it still is the longest. Using this song for this felt right and I didn't want to cut it down so it just sort of happened lol.

I tried to have a balance between Maribug/Adrichat compared to other side characters while still matching the lyrics but you can still tell who my favourites are haha (very clear Félix, Kagami, Zoe and Juleka bias here) but that was kinda unavoidable.

I still struggled with scene picking at some points even though it was too long, there are still 140 episodes to squeeze into that and I ended up switching some scenes around a lot but I think I am happiest with this version? It's uploaded now I have to be dksjk
