At The Student Room we see a lot of posts in our forums from members who are finding it difficult to make friends at university. When students are looking ahead to starting university this can be one of their biggest concerns. It isn’t easy to fit in and make friends in a new place, so we asked wellbeing experts from Teesside University and the Support Zone at the University of Surrey for their advice on handling loneliness and navigating new social situations.
