The Black Mountains are part of the Brecon Beacons national park, and on this hike I went to the summit of Pen Cerrig-Calch, visiting Crug Hywel (Table Mountain) on the way up. This is the closest mountain (701m) to London and the home counties. My descent was just ahead of a beautiful sunset.
Always remember to take litter home when visiting these beautiful areas, and stick to footpaths where you can.
Drone disclaimer- there was a helicopter operating in the area, when on Crug Hywel I could see it was on the ground and the pilot had exited so flew the drone for 3 minutes. At the summit I was in conversation with one operative who had a radio to the helicopter to confirm it was grounded. DO NOT FLY NEAR OTHER AIRCRAFT!
