I'm excited to share a journey around London in 2020 to see the murder sites of Jack the Ripper.
Please note that the main purpose of this video is to provide listening practice and vocabulary for English learners. I am exploring the history of this event along with you all and I can't guarantee everything is historically accurate. If you'd like to learn specifically about the history of this event, perhaps another video will be more suited to you. I hope you can stick around, though, and learn some English with me! Jack the Ripper was a mysterious murderer from the later 1800s in the East of London. It was a tough time to live and the horrific nature of the murders shocked the country.
There is some speculation as to how many people he killed. Some people don't consider all 6 to be his victims, but in this video, I look at 6 of the places he was believed to have killed.
My goal with this video is to provide a cultural and historical insight into London and this event while (hopefully!) using some useful English vocabulary and giving a good listening practice experience. Also, note that I'm far from an expert on this topic. I've just done a small amount of research so hopefully, this video lives up to the truth.
