A very short film to advise my subscribers (who do not already know this) that the 'new build' section of Crossrail 1 / Elizabeth line will open on 24th May 2022
For the time being trains are only travelling between Paddington and Abbey Wood stations, plus non-stopping Bond Street station which is not yet ready to open. Please note that apart from the Platinum Jubilee weekend this new section of railway will remain closed on Sundays.
The existing TFL Rail services between Reading and Paddington plus Liverpool Street and Shenfield will continue to operate as they have been for the past few years.
Also, as this a mainline railway service (NOT part of the London Underground) the full range of National Rail passes will be accepted, including the All Line Rover, BritRail pass, etc.
