Loic Le Meur is a serial entrepreneur based in San Francisco. Loic co-founded the #1 European tech event LeWeb. Every December hundreds of Internet Start-ups, Companies, Leaders, Innovators, Venture Capitalists, Journalists, Bloggers come together in Paris: 4000 participants from 80 countries in December 2012. In June 2012 LeWeb also launched its first ever London event to rave reviews. According to The Economist, “LeWeb is where revolutionaries gather to plot the future”.
Previously, Loic successfully started and sold four companies. Social networking mobile app Seesmic was acquired by Hootsuite in 2012. Loic also created one of the first blogging service in Europe, Ublog, acquired by Six Apart now Say Media, a web hosting company Rapidsite France acquired by France Telecom and a web agency B2L acquired by BBDO (Omnicom group). Loic was named one of “Europe’s Tech25″ by the Wall Street Journal as well as one of the “25 most influential people” on the web by Business Week. He is featured in The Economist as one of “Europe’s Blooming Entrepreneurs”, and is a “Young Global Leader” by the World Economic Forum where he helps select the next Tech Pioneers and is a regular speaker.
Loic loves kite-surfing and running. He is proud to have finished the New York Marathon in less than four hours.
