The third Universal remake in this series of videos (if you count the MCA TV one), this time, it's the 1990 Universal Pictures logo, complete with MCA byline! I used a transparent Earth texture, and edited it over a light blue background in Powerpoint. The flare and starfield were also done in Powerpoint, and for the starfield, I took one starfield of the logo done by someone (the original starfield which I don't have was made by Eric Von Schmidt) and cobbled together pieces of the image around it to make it bigger. I soft edged them and used it in this remake. The "UNIVERSAL" text in the remake is not actually Copperplate Gothic, but the Universal Primary font made by my friend Dan P. Lyons. The MCA byline was Copperplate Light, though. Overall, apart from the flare at the beginning, I'm pretty proud of this remake. I hope you enjoy it too!
