Museums of History NSW | Lodgers, bookmakers, and unofficial guests with Anna Cossu @MuseumsofHistoryNSW | Uploaded September 2021 | Updated October 2024, 19 hours ago.
Enjoy a talk by curator Anna Cossu on the lodgers, bookmakers and other unofficial guests of the four working class houses of Susannah Place.

From the lodgers who paid a small sum for bed & a meal in an already crowded family home, the elusive woman known as ‘Mrs Cats’ to the SP bookmaker who rented the basement on Saturdays. Curator Anna Cossu will share the stories of the unofficial people of Susannah Place.

Hear our Discover SLM talks online and free every Tuesday at 4pm.
