Welcome to the WoW Classic Goldbound Challenge - MoP Edition
Inspired by the popular retail zonelocked challenge from patheralix
(youtube.com/@PathalerixGold,) I decided to try this in MoP Classic WoW. No twinks, no gold from other characters, just me, my Troll Rogue Picklocked and the long grind ahead.
In this first episode of the Goldbound Challenge – Mists of Pandaria Classic Edition, we begin our journey with Picklocked, a troll rogue bound to Durotar until he earns enough gold to buy his first heirloom.
The rules are simple:
Locked to one zone until the gold goal is met.
Only items from questing, loot, and farming may be sold.
No buying from the Auction House – only selling.
The first milestone: 1,250 gold for a single heirloom.
In this episode, we explore the modernized starting experience in Durotar, pick up mining and skinning, experiment with cooking dailies, and even dive into battle pets and Brewfest. From ore and linen to rare spawns and unexpected transmog finds, we begin piecing together the foundation of our gold-making strategy.
After roughly 12 hours of played time, it’s time to open the mailbox for the first time—and the results are a promising start toward breaking free of Durotar.
