During the lockdown period we have had to restrict ourselves to a 5 mile radius - so my exercise walks were done locally. This trail is found on the site of the Old Ebbw Vale Steelworks were I used to work. Developement on the upper level have included a School, Hospital, Leisure Centre & College whilst an area between the reopened Rail Link to Cardiff and the top level buidling has been turned into a green space of wild flowers and ponds for the locals to enjoy. It is fairly flat with good tracks which enables access for bikes, wheelchairs and able bodied people. I have seen a variety of birdlife and insects whilst walking around here, all which is managed by the Gwent Wildlife Trust who have a building close by.
