This is an awesome Selmer Super Balanced Action Tenor Saxophone. In my opinion, the Super Balanced Action is the best tenor that Selmer ever made. To me, they just sound sweeter than the Mark VIs, but they still have the keywork that made Selmer famous. The late great John Coltrane played an SBA for some of his most influential recordings. Serial number places the year of manufacture on this one at 1952.
This is a terrific instrument. The lacquer is original, and about 80-85% remaining with wear from use. This horn has just been through the shop and is ready to play. You've always wanted to sound like 'Trane, so get an SBA and head to the practice room! It all starts here. Includes case, but no mouthpiece with this one.
