MAJOR Exploit In Nearly ALL First-Party Nintendo Games (Wii, 3DS, Wii U, Switch) DarkFlare 2022-12-26 | ENLBufferPwn is a new exploit that was recently reported to Nintendo and released publicly (with their permission) that affects nearly ALL first party Nintendo games since the Wii era, potentially even since the DS. In the video, I explain the basics of how it works, and you can also check the links below for more information. This is why Mario Kart 7, along with a few other "end of life" games, randomly got an update in December 2022. This exploit is so powerful that it could run code on another player's console remotely without their permission. This would allow for the hacker to take total control over every other player's 3DS. Many things could be achieved using this, such as installing custom firmware, editing other players saves, bricking their consoles, stealing their stored personal info, taking pictures using the camera, and endless other opportunities. This was discovered in 2016 and reported to Nintendo in 2021. However, they failed to acknowledge it's existence or patch it until December 2022. Many games are still unpatched to this day.It's a good thing this was finally patched, but Nintendo has made a lot of mistakes in this regard. This should never even have been a thing in the first place. Much less, how did they not find out about it until 2021? And why were they so slow to respond with a patch? The most common symptoms of this are flashing colors on the screen, a solid single color, or corrupted graphics when loading a game. With how old the system is, many people are experiencing similar problems with reading cartridges. In this video, I'll be showing you a few different ways of making sure your system is able to read games, including replacing the entire 72 pin connector on the motherboard. This process is not as hard as it sounds, and I've shown the whole process on video. You will need nothing more than a standard Philips screwdriver to remove the 72 pin connector. [SMM2] Disconnect All Opponents (Online) DarkFlare 2020-07-16 | In this video, I'll be showing off a Super Mario Maker 2 hack that will allow me to disconnect the entire lobby online, and then still win the match after disconnecting everyone. I didn't really expect this to work when I made it, because it was surprisingly easy. But it does only work as host. If you use this as non-host, the entire lobby will DC and you will not be able to continue playing the match. This code also does not negatively affect other people's versus ratings. Therefore, this code is actually improving the economy for points in Mario Maker. As the average points go up, the more points you will gain for wins, and the less points you will lose for not getting first. Since this code is at no one elses expense, it is improving the average points. Pretty weird, but it is indeed true (although this minuscule difference is negligible in a large economy).I won't be releasing this since it will disrupt online play heavily. This code is useful for people who like to listen to other music while playing videogames (like me). It is also good to remove copyrighted music for YouTube videos and place non-copyrighted music over it instead, while keeping all other game sounds. I made this code mostly for personal use, so I can play multiplayer versus while listening to other music. Sometimes, the game will start to play a music file, but stop shortly after it. This code will also sometimes cause other sounds to not work properly. [SMM2] Lag Switch Code Online (With Gameplay) DarkFlare 2020-07-06 | This is a code that I made for Super Mario Maker 2 online multiplayer. This code will allow me to press a button to enable lag in the online matches. I can configure exactly how I want the lag to be. I can make it horrendous, moderate, or just some small spikes. This code does not cause any harm to the network or other people's connection. It will artificially slow down my game, which in return causes other players games to slow down as well. To avoid a ban, I did not bother messing with any netcode. This version works very well for the purpose it was created for. [SMM2] Teleport To Flag DarkFlare 2020-06-09 | This is a code that I made for Super Mario Maker 2 that will teleport you to the flag/goal on any level. This requires the use of a no clip code to work properly, or else you may die when teleporting to the goal. The code is available in the video linked at the bottom of the description. It was pretty hard to get this code to work properly on every level style without any problems. I had to do some slightly advanced things with the codetypes to be able to compare 2 values in memory. This can be useful if there's a tight jump or if you want to see what's down a pit without committing to it. This code would be a lot better if Atmosphere codes actually executed faster. It's actually pretty pathetic, they execute even slower than Gateway did on the 3DS, and Gateway was not necessarily known for executing fast. Also, SMM2 doesn't like when you change your coordinates. It can cause you to get stuck on walls sometimes and it isn't the most stable thing ever made. It turns out that isn't actually how it is in EdiZon, it just means "greater than previous value" and "less than previous value." [Switch] How To Set Up & Use Cheats With EdiZon DarkFlare 2020-04-20 | The ending of this video was trimmed out because Nintendo blocked this video worldwide and gave me a false strike for including less than 20 seconds of Super Mario Maker 2 footage. Since this claim is completely false with no substance to it, they selected a larger portion of the video (47 seconds) and I had to either trim that entire segment out or keep the video blocked worldwide permanently. Appealing would get nowhere since YouTube's copyright system is broken. Most of those 47 seconds were on my PC, and all of it was commentated over and 100% fair use. I apologize for the inconvenience. Nintendo is known to take advantage of YouTube's broken copyright system on hacking related videos all the time, even if they are completely fair use. [Switch] All Hardware Flaws Ive Had in 3 Years DarkFlare 2020-03-17 | These are all of the hardware failures I've had with my Switch after 3 years of ownership. It has been a terrible experience from this perspective. However, there are a lot of pretty fun games. Unfortunately it is impossible to enjoy those games since these hardware flaws cause such a big hindrance to the experience.Also, the clear times for these SMM2 levels were so high because I am playing with about 150ms of latency due to using the OBS preview as my screen, so there were many controller failures. That's also why I can't really record these types of levels consistently even though I want to use them as background footage for my videos. The raw footage was about 45 minutes long because I can't do very many precise jumps or time things correctly with such a delay.Let me know any problems you've had with the Switch below!
