ROTC Day provides the opportunity for young military leaders to get exposed to the mission of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, tying critical defense priorities to their future service and learn from proven, senior military leaders, ROTC Day is foundational support from the Department of Energy, the National Nuclear Security Administration and Lawrence Livermore National Security, LLC, leading to a vibrant relationship that lasts throughout their military service to our great nation. Held for nearly 25 years, the event gave the participants, representing ROTC programs in the U.S. Air Force, Army and Navy, an introduction to the Lab’s ROTC summer internship program, in hopes that many of the cadets will someday return either as interns or Laboratory employees after completing their military career.
