At the end of each year, we focus on closing the gap between our current standards of generosity and the Kingdom standards taught by Jesus through our end-of-year giving campaign, called Living the Liturgy.
This year, we want to focus on becoming a church not just in the city, but for the city—and for what God is doing here in New York.
We are believing for $4.5M through Living the Liturgy this year to help us continue becoming a church that is for New York City. We are in a pivotal moment as a church, faced with a choice: to focus inward on ourselves, or outward toward seeing our city encounter the living God.
One of the primary focuses of this year’s Living the Liturgy campaign is preparing for the launch of a new service in the Upper East Side this spring. This requires resources—not just for the launch itself, but to set us up well for the future.
We commissioned an artist from our community, Mackenzie Maisel, to illustrate our longing to become a church for New York City—and she also lives in the Upper East Side. Here’s her story.
