Chris de Klerk traded his law books for a framing hammer. After immigrating from South Africa to Brisbane in 2003, Chris walked away from a legal career to open Frames on Farrant. For 17 years, he has treated custom framing not just as a business, but as an art form—helping his local community protect, preserve, and cherish their most meaningful stories.

🍋 160 Years of Heritage at Watercress Creek Olives and Limes
Just outside the Ipswich CBD sits a historic family plot established all the way back in 1862. Fourth-generation farmer Bernie Mahon, alongside his late wife, transformed this family land into a thriving oasis of olives and Tahitian lime trees. Now producing everything from gourmet chutneys to lime cordial, Bernie has built a community hub that culminates in the annual Watercress Creek Olive Festival, celebrating its 18th anniversary this year.
