Here's a video we made briefly explaining the things we miss and don't miss about living in Canada! We've been living in Japan for about 11 months now and we've come to realize some of the things we miss and don't miss about living in Canada.
There's a few things we forgot to mention in the video:
- People in Japan have a lot more empathy for each other. I think this is why people are so aggressive with each other in Canada.
- Supervisors and bosses here in Japan have a more nurturing attitude towards their employees. They care about their well-being much more than they would back in Canada. (From our experiences)
- We miss dryers for our laundry!!
This is the full list of what we miss and don't miss:
What we miss about Canada:
- Friends and family
- Berries and fruit
- Relaxed atmosphere
- Lack of restrictions: Dress code
- Blue skies and sunny weather
- Having pets
- Not many scary bugs
- Free healthcare
- Comic/Anime conventions
- Internal heating
- Wide open spaces and lack of crowds.
Things we don't miss about Canada:
- Hot water tank
- Rowdy aggressive public behaviour
- Inconvenience
- Public Transportation
- Expensive restaurants
- Winter weather
- lack of variety of stores (and acceptance of unique individuals)
- No arcades
- Bad customer service.
