This country has been popular with a range of expats for a long time. Everyone from budget-conscious retirees to wealthy celebrities have chosen to live in Greece.

It has a lot going for it, including a low cost of living, great public transportation, and incredible history. However, it comes with several downsides that led us to cross Athens off our list.
