Story Chasing | Living in a Van: I Can't Believe It (pushing myself to continue) @storychasing | Uploaded April 2022 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Living in a van has its challenges, but moving 22 times in 2 less than 2 months wore me out this year and so I vowed to slow down. This video explores the slow down and how I'm moving from anxiety to happiness and peace. I was walking through Cloverdale, California on a walking trail of art sculptures when I met some friendly locals who stopped to ask me if I am really Story Chasing. Nobody has ever asked me that, but we ended up having a great conversation about life and how connected we all are on this planet. Also, I noticed there were lots of signs that said "homemade," farm-fresh," local produce." It made me realize even more that we are all, in some way, eager for simplicity in our lives else they wouldn’t market those words in advertising and products. To me, that means creating more stories in our lives, exploring, enjoying every moment, good meals and -especially those days we can spend outside in nature, walking, hiking, cooking food over fires or barbecues wrapped around rocks; these moments are what remind us how connected all life on Earth actually feels...even though sometimes things get pretty tough out there. This slowing down feels really good!

Hi, Im Amber and in May 2017 I started full time RV living. I started this nomadic journey after selling my house and all my belongings to pursue this crazy dream of traveling full time in an RV and creating incredible memories.
After 1 year of traveling, I sold my 26 foot Winnebago Class C RV for a more nimble Class B van on a Promaster 2500 chassis. Now in my 4th year of RVing in my camper van, Im still loving this RV lifestyle and being a digital nomad. I almost always boondock in nature and really enjoy that off grid living.
