Seven Irish MPs are in Stuttgart on Wednesday 22nd to observe the ongoing trial of the #theULM5 and to host a lunchtime press conference.
Real Media is collaborating with independent German news co-operative Junge Welt on a livestream of the event at around 11am BST.
The ULM-5 have been in prison since last September in connection with an action against an #ElbitSystems factory in Ulm, Germany, to disrupt the flow of weapons to Israel. Despite no previous convictions and no allegations of threatened or actual violence, the five Berlin-based activists have been in prison for 10 months, and there are multiple allegations of judges’ bias and breaches of human rights. Like the #Filton6 in the UK, ill-defined special powers have been used to justify harsh and unusual treatment outside of normal criminal procedures.
