Not really sure what it is, but once again goes with one of my fanfics.
Plot: In the beginning Klaus fell in love with a beautiful but strong willed Blonde. When his mother found out she warned him to end it, but he refused. She then cursed the young couple to always lose each other. Over his long life he has watched her die many times and the curse is simple, they find each other then Klaus has to watch her die again and again. His mother never realized that the woman was the only one that could hold his humanity in tact. After each death he loses more and more of his humanity. The last time he watched her die was 200 years ago. After that moment he vowed to stop looking for her even though he promised he always would.
The blonde (that isn't Caroline) is her first life and the dark haired women are her other lives and the times she has died. In the end Klaus see's Caroline and knows that she is his love reborn
