Welcome to the Liverpool Playwrights special event: 'Bistro Theatre' - Winners/Losers, six short plays developed by the Liverpool Playwrights writing group, all centring on the idea of either winning or losing. ABOUT THE GROUP
Chaired by playwright Barry Finch, the Liverpool Playwrights aim to work and develop up-and-coming writers in Liverpool. The group has cultivated numerous talent since the late 90's, some of which have became hugely successful and are working in the industry to this day.
The group meets every Thursday in a special meeting room booked at Liverpool Lime Street and brings with them their current scripts in progress. A round table is established, and each member offers critical feedback to improve the work. This event marks the ambition of the group: their aim to produce theatrical event 6 months or so, enabling new writers to get their work performed in front of an audience. The next event will be Festival Soup on Saturday 16th December at the same venue: The Brink on Parr Street.
