Joan Ranquet | Live with Joan with Suzie Chase of Austin Pets Alive, a No Kill Shelter. 6.7.22 @JoanRanquet | Uploaded June 2022 | Updated October 2024, 10 hours ago.
In this Live with Joan, Joan interviews Suzie Chase, Community Relations Officer of Austin Pets Alive, a no kill shelter. Suzie shares how Austin Pets Alive is quite a force for animals. They are leading the country in how they are able to handle almost any situation to get animals adopted from a neonatal cat center to enrichment for “unadoptable” animals. Austin Pets Alive is a no kill shelter and Suzie shared with the viewers what that really means and how their organization is teaching rescues and shelters around the country how to become a no kill shelter. Suzie had participated with a dog, Kenneth in one of CWALU’s Animal Communication Level 4 Rescue classes. Kenneth was difficult to place. But Suzie told the viewers, the class ended at 4:30 and then at 4:31 an adoption form came through. Suzie and the dog were able to see and feel first hand the power of animal communication in rescues.
