Week two of witness testimony in the Tupac Shakur murder trial resumed Monday in Las Vegas, and it started with a fight over what jurors are allowed to hear.
Defense attorney Michael Sanft argued that a recording played Friday contains references to other crimes the jury should never have been exposed to. The judge issued limiting instructions before witness Michael Dorsay returned to the stand and the recording continued playing for the jury.
Last week, jurors heard from 18 witnesses — former law enforcement officials, former gang members, and the ex-head of security for Death Row Records.
Duane "Keffe D" Davis is charged in the 1996 shooting death of Tupac Shakur on the Las Vegas Strip.
