Watch live coverage as NASA fuels its towering Space Launch System rocket ahead of the planned launch of four astronauts on a mission to loop around the moon and back. Liftoff of the Artemis 2 mission from pad 39B at Kennedy Space Center is scheduled during a launch window that opens at 6:24 p.m. EDT (2224 UTC).

Loading of super cold liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen will get underway around 8:56 a.m. EDT (1256 UTC). If all goes according to plan the rocket will be fully fueled by approximately 1:44 p.m. EDT (1744 UTC).

The SLS rocket will take an easterly trajectory on departure from Florida's Space Coast.

Our live coverage with commentary from Spaceflight Now's Will Robinson-Smith will start at around 7:24 a.m. EDT (1124 UTC). Once the rocket is fully fueled we will start a new stream to cover the final hours of the countdown and the liftoff.
