✨ Welcome to my Pokémon Silver Dream Team Quest! I'm playing through my childhood copy of my favourite game of all time Shiny hunting 6 of my favourite Pokémon along the way for Pokémon's 30th anniversary. Shinies are sparkly ultra-rare differently coloured variants - we've found Totodile, we've found Ledyba, next up is Misdreavus, my favourite Ghost Pokémon!
Alongside I'll be looking for another team member in Gold & Crystal, Shiny Larvitar!

Unique to Generation 2, some Pokémon carry a 'Shiny gene', with a much higher chance of producing an egg that will hatch into a Shiny Pokémon. There's no way of catching Misdreavus in the wild before the end of the game and no way to get a low-level one without hatching eggs - so what better way to showcase a mechanic specific to my favourite game of all time? I've spent the past couple of months looking for a Shiny gene Ditto which I'm breeding with Misdreavus, resulting in just a 1/64 chance of hatching a Shiny - MUCH better than the normal 1/8192 odds! So there's every chance that the third member of my Dream Team will shine today... Don't miss it! It's going to be special.
