Adding a Bistro Table to our patio is a recent request, and I just happen to have a live edge slab, large tree "cookie" that would be perfect for the job; flattening the slab revealed that it was actually Fir, which becomes harder as it ages; I decided on hairpin legs with metal inserts and bolts because I wanted removeable legs for easy storage; patio use means exposure to weather so an Exterior Finishing Product that is very easy to recoat every few years to "refresh" the look of the table was a must, and the end result is an awesome Bistro Table.
