Jeff Geerling | Live: AMD PC upgrade, with 10 GbE in an M.2 slot! @JeffGeerling | Uploaded February 2023 | Updated October 2024, 7 hours ago.
Time for an upgrade! This one will have a strange M.2 NIC that supposedly gives 10 GbE in one of the NVMe slots!
Here are the parts I used in my build:
- Open Benchtable: openbenchtable.com
- ASUS TUF GT501 Case: amzn.to/3y58Sep
- ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming WiFi AM5 Motherboard: amzn.to/3XTQKOW
- AMD Ryzen 9 7900x 12-core, 24-thread CPU: amzn.to/3xJaYQT
- Noctua NH-U12A chromax.Black 120mm CPU Cooler: amzn.to/3xOdghq
- G.Skill Flare X5 DDR5-6000 CL36 RAM: amzn.to/3m3GTIX
- KIOXIA XG8 2TB SSD: amzn.to/3xLGXjj (XG7 listed on Amazon)
- Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 Gaming OC 24G GPU: amzn.to/3xKH1Qj
- CableMod 12VHPWR Angled Adapters: store.cablemod.com/12vhpwr-angled-adapter
- Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 1200W Modular PSU: amzn.to/3ExmMJB
- HD Audio Extension Cable: amzn.to/3Sm3sF4
- Innodisk EGPL-T101 10 GbE M.2 NIC: innodisk.com/en/products/embedded-peripheral/communication/egpl-t101
- I bought it for $185 from WDL Systems early last year, and it took months to ship!
I also referenced the following in the course of my build:
