LIV Golf Will Be HOSTED In Australia In 2023..
Welcome back to Golf District. In light of the news that Greg Norman's Rebel Tour would host at least one tournament in Australia next year, Australian golf officials are only paying attention to their own busy summer itinerary. The provisional 2023 event calendar for the breakaway LIV Golf league was announced tonight, although British Open winner Cameron Smith has yet to openly commit to it.
A 14-tournament schedule with 12 established team franchises and the opportunity for players to be promoted or demoted through its slate of Asian Tour tournaments was unveiled by the Saudi-backed series for the next season. Australia, North and Latin America, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe are all scheduled to host events. LIV chairman Norman has stated that the whole calendar would be made public later.
