Every item in this store is free, and given with a smile. Two years ago, Ilze Thielmann created Little Shop of Kindness inside a Seventh-day Adventist Church to help meet the needs of asylum seekers and migrants in New York. Thielmann says this isn't about politics. It's about people. Store shelves are filled with donations and the store is staffed with volunteers focused on helping people rebuild their lives.
