HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MBANI 🥳: It's hard to believe that Mbani is one! His official birthday was Saturday, but we threw an early birthday party for him on Friday.
This little man is up to 19 pounds now, and he's getting more and more independent by the day. He loves to follow his dad Subira around and practice beating his chest, which is just about the most adorable thing you'll ever see! Mbani has captured everyone's hearts, and we're thankful every day that we get to watch him and his sister Saambili grow up together.
The birthday boy, along with the whole family troop, were treated to all of their favorite things, courtesy of our incredible animal nutrition staff. They feasted on watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple, frozen juice and yogurt treats, along with plenty of greens. Please join us in wishing this special gorilla baby a very happy birthday! ❤️
