Still holed up in their hideaway, Jester stared at the empty valley, awaiting Doom's return. He glanced over at Bloom, who was sitting quietly in her cage. She had changed since she came to them (from the Library animatic ∘ youtu.be/o1vSRzpF1wg )
but he couldn't help but see her as a person, rather than a threat.
He knew who she was, what they were here to do, but for some reason he couldn't move on from the echoes of the past. With little else to distract him as he waited for Doom, he kept replaying memories in his mind.
After a few weeks, feeling unthreatened by Bloom, Jester decided to take a risk. He offered an olive branch, removing the barriers and allowing them to step out into the sun together.
He just wanted a friend 🥺 Even if their future is uncertain.

Big inspo for this comes from @lycancthropy - I was struggling to find a song to illustrate their changing relationship, and just ended up binging their animations... This ended up being such a struggle though, I think it was just a bit of art block from trying to do too much (I ended up scaling back basically everything because I felt the burnout looming) but despite how bad it looks, I think it came out great :''')))))
