Lithium (LiFePO4) batteries prefer to be stored below 100% charge so I've configured my Victron MPPT 75 - 15 SmartSolar charge controller to have two battery profiles (presets). One which I use on site and the other which I apply just prior to putting the van into storage between trips.
Because the solar controller is not disconnected there is no chance of the battery being drained completely should anything be left on accidentally since the charger will cut back in again.
