The "Litany of the Passion" is a prayer that thoughtfully reflects on the suffering and crucifixion of Jesus Christ. By meditating on Christ's intense physical and spiritual pain through vivid invocations, it fosters devotion to him and gratitude for the salvation his sacrifice brings. Often used during Lent and Good Friday, this litany has long helped believers contemplate the mystery of the cross.

*The Litany of the Passion* (prayer text)
Lord, have mercy on us.
Christ, have mercy on us.
Lord, have mercy on us.
Christ, hear us.
Christ, graciously hear us.
God the Father of Heaven, have mercy on us.
God the Son, have mercy on us.
God the Holy Spirit, have mercy on us.
Holy Trinity one God, have mercy on us.
Jesus, the eternal Wisdom, have mercy on us.
Jesus, sold for thirty pieces of silver,
Jesus, prostrate on the ground in prayer,
Jesus, strengthened by an angel,
Jesus, in Thine agony bathed in a bloody sweat,
Jesus, betrayed by Judas with a kiss,
Jesus, bound by the soldiers,
Jesus, forsaken by thy disciples,
Jesus, brought before Annas and Caiphas,
Jesus, struck in the face by a servant,
Jesus, accused by false witnesses,
Jesus, declared guilty of death,
Jesus, spat upon,
Jesus, blindfolded,
Jesus, smitten on the cheek,
Jesus, thrice denied by Peter,
Jesus, delivered up to Pilate,
Jesus, despised and mocked by Herod,
Jesus, clothed in a white garment,
Jesus, rejected for Barabbas,
Jesus, torn with scourges,
Jesus, bruised by our sins,
Jesus, esteemed as a leper,
Jesus, covered with a purple robe,
Jesus, crowned with thorns,
Jesus, struck with a reed upon the head,
Jesus, demanded for crucifixion by the Jews,
Jesus, condemned to an ignominious death,
Jesus, given up to the will of Thine enemies,
Jesus, loaded with the heavy weight of the Cross,
Jesus, led like a sheep to the slaughter,
Jesus, stripped of Thy garments,
Jesus, fastened with nails to the cross,
Jesus, reviled by the malefactors,
Jesus, promising paradise to the penitent thief,
Jesus, commending St. John to thy mother as her son,
Jesus, declaring Thyself forsaken by Thy Father,
Jesus, obedient even to death on the cross,
Jesus, pierced with a lance,
Jesus, made a propitiation for us,
Jesus, taken down from the Cross, made a propitiation for us,
Jesus, laid in the sepulcher,
Jesus, rising gloriously from the dead,
Jesus, ascending into heaven,
Jesus, our Advocate with the Father,
Jesus, sending down on the disciples the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete,
Jesus, exalting Thy mother above the living and the dead,
Be merciful, spare us, O Lord.
Be merciful, graciously hear us, O Lord.
From all evil, Lord Jesus, deliver us.
From all sin,
From anger, hatred, and every evil will,
From war, famine, and pestilence,
From all dangers of mind and body,
From everlasting death,
Through Thy most pure conception,
Through Thy miraculous nativity,
Through Thy humble circumcision,
Through Thy baptism and holy fasting,
Through Thy labors and watchings,
Through Thy cruel scourging and crowning,
Through Thy thirst and tears and nakedness,
Through Thy precious death on the cross,
Through Thy glorious Resurrection and Ascension,
Through Thy sending forth the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete,
On the day of Judgment, we sinners, we beseech Thee, hear us.
That Thou would spare us,
That Thou would vouchsafe to bring us to true penance,
That Thou would vouchsafe mercifully to pour into our hearts the grace of the Holy Spirit,
That Thou would vouchsafe to preserve and increase all societies assembled in Thy holy name,
That Thou would vouchsafe to bestow upon us true peace,
That Thou would vouchsafe to give us perseverance in grace and in Thy holy service,
That Thou would vouchsafe to deliver us from unclean thoughts and temptations of the devil, and everlasting damnation,
That Thou would vouchsafe to unite us to the company of Thy saints,
That Thou would vouchsafe to graciously hear us,

*Prayer to the Most Holy Trinity* (prayer text)
† To God the Father †
Heavenly Father, Author of all creation, we praise You for Your boundless love and mercy. You are the source of all goodness; the giver of life. You formed us in Your image and guide us with providence.
We thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ, through whom You revealed Your loving plan of salvation. By His life, death, and resurrection, we are reconciled to You. You have adopted us as Your beloved children and made us heirs to Your Kingdom.
May we cherish our identity as Your sons and daughters, living lives that radiate Your love to everyone whom we meet. We entrust ourselves to Your unfailing care. We desire that Your will be done in our lives, now and forever.
We ask this through Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, Who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.
† To Jesus, Son of God †
O Jesus, Eternal Son of the Father, We adore You as our Savior, Lord, and Brother. You, the Word made flesh, revealed the Father’s love. You offered Yourself as a sacrifice for our salvation.
Your Sacred Heart, pierced for our transgressions, pours out mercy, compassion, and unfathomable love. You nourish us in the Eucharist, strengthening our faith. As our Risen Lord, You intercede for us constantly.
Help us to follow in Your footsteps and embrace the Cross. Transform us into Your likeness, so that we may radiate Your goodness. Be our strength, solace, and joy, and sustain us with Your grace until we behold You face to face in Your heavenly Kingdom.
We ask this in Your most holy name, You who live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.
† To the Holy Spirit †
O Holy Spirit, Lord and Giver of Life, we praise You, the eternal Love between the Father and the Son. You bring life, inspire prophets, and guide the Church. You empower us with Your gifts and unify all in love.
We thank You for the new life in Baptism, which makes us Your temples. Sanctify us, Holy Spirit, conform us to Christ, and lead us to divine love. Kindle in us the fire of Your love and the zeal for Your Kingdom. Guide our minds, strengthen our wills, and direct our actions.
Renew the earth, and bring healing, comfort, and hope to all. Convict us of sin, and lead us to repentance and conversion. Guide the Church, and inspire our leaders with courage and compassion. Grant us unity, humility, and openness to Your promptings.
We consecrate ourselves to You, Holy Spirit: our hearts, minds, and bodies. May we be attentive to Your voice and responsive to Your call.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

*Novena to Christ the King* (prayer text)
We offer to You, Lord, our prayers and petitions in this Novena to Christ the King.
Lord, hear our prayer.
For those enduring war, conflict, and bloodshed in their homelands, that they may see an end to fighting and suffering, and for genuine peace and forgiveness to take root in their communities.
We pray to the Lord: Lord, hear our prayer.
For the sick, suffering, and afflicted, that through our compassion and aid they may find comfort and restoration.
We pray to the Lord: Lord, hear our prayer.
For our pope, bishops, priests, and other religious who minister in Christs name, that they will be filled and always guided by the Holy Spirit to effectively spread the gospel message of salvation.
We pray to the Lord: Lord, hear our prayer.
For an increase in vocations to religious life, that those who are called by God will receive the necessary grace to respond to His call to devote themselves fully to the faith through sacred service.
We pray to the Lord: Lord, hear our prayer.
For those approaching the end of this lifes journey, that they may be granted mercy and peace and receive their reward for the labor of their lifes work.
We pray to the Lord: Lord, hear our prayer.
For those who have died, that through the mercy of God they may be brought to the glory of His heavenly kingdom.
We pray to the Lord: Lord, hear our prayer.
[Pause and offer your petitions]
Lord, hear our prayer.
Almighty and merciful God, You break the power of evil and make all things new in Your Son Jesus Christ, the King of the universe. May all in heaven and earth acclaim Your glory and never cease to praise You.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Let us pray:
O Lord our God, You alone are the Most Holy King and Ruler of all nations.
We pray to You, Lord, in the great expectation of receiving from You, O Divine King, mercy, peace, justice and all good things.
Protect, O Lord our King, our families and the land of our birth.
Guard us we pray Most Faithful One.
Protect us from our enemies and from Your Just Judgment
Forgive us, O Sovereign King, our sins against You.
Jesus, You are a King of Mercy.
We have deserved Your Just Judgment;
Have mercy on us, Lord, and forgive us.
We trust in Your Great Mercy.
O most awe-inspiring King, we bow before You and pray;
May Your Reign, Your Kingdom, be recognized on earth.
Amen.
