Reconnaissance day at LIS airport (LPPT), exploring the western edge of the airport.
Found 2 decent spots for observing activities on runway 03. The day had traffic flowing in its "standard" pattern, approaching from the SSW and takeoffs toward NNE.
The first spot has a pretty good view of the approach but being at the very end of the runway, the touchdowns are already quite far from it. As you can see in the video, the takeoffs are way too obscured by vegetation.
The second spot has a nice view of the NNE end of the runway, but there is no view at all of the opposite end.
Recon day 2 will be spent exploring the eastern side of the airport.
