I've never released a song about this boy.
I wrote this in August 2016. I still had long hair if that tells you how old this is.
He was the first guy who ever actually pursued me. No one had ever made me feel so wanted and I was absolutely crazy for him. Things started off really intense and lovey dovey but slowly began to fizzle out over the course of five months. He didn't have the sense to end things with me as he lost interest and I didn't have the self respect to walk away from someone who no longer cared. Our love died a slow, painful death and it took me meeting someone new to even realize that I could walk away, that this guy wasn't "all I could get". This song is me realizing I should've been more appreciated than I was and that him leading me on really hurt my self esteem.
Of course, the "someone new" in the bridge turned out to be the guy Italy is about so obviously I didn't really get into a better situation HAHA but that's a story for another time ;)
